The Shawnee County Commission meetings are one step closer to being televised on city channel four. The commissioners met Monday morning and discussed Deputy Mayor Jeff Preisner's proposal.

Overall the commission says they are appreciative of the offer. They're even willing to move their meetings to the City Council Chambers to help accommodate the camera and production staff.

In a letter to Deputy Mayor Preisner, commissioner Shelly Buhler said they wholeheartedly support the proposition and are open to having their meetings televised as early as Thursday, or as soon as the technicalities can be worked out.
