State Candidates Go Back to School

In an effort to keep early childhood learning at the forefront of candidates minds, the Kansas Coalition for School Readiness is hosting thirty-two events in twenty-four cities and towns across the state.

"There should be no more important issue on the campaign trail than early learning," said Coalition Executive Director, Jennifer Crow. "We want candidates to become more familiar with these programs so they can make early learning part of their campaign agenda."

The coalition is trying to push voluntary, high-quality early learning onto the candidates' agendas.

At the events, local candidates will meet with early-learning practioners and speak with children and their paents to get a first hand account of the benefits of early learning.
