A man who led Emporia Police on a chase is hospitalized in critical condition.

KVOE Radio reports 20-year old Ryan Gleue was fleeing from police Friday morning when he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a pick up at 8th and Woodland. Emporia's Deputy Police Chief Mike Williams told KVOE that Gleue was observed driving erratically on 12th near Prairie and accelerated to high rates of speed at least twice before the crash.

Gleue was first taken to Newman Regional, then life-flighted to Stormont-Vail in Topeka.
