Former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, visted Kansas State University for the first Landon Lecture of the school year Tuesday.
Fox spoke about the global economy and drug trafficking. He also focused on the need for immigration reform, criticizing how the United States has handled Mexican immigrants. He calls immigration an "issue," not a "problem," and says it is all a matter of supply and demand.
"With all respect I tell this nation, Why build a wall?" Fox said. "Why isolate from the rest of the world?"
Fox also talked about a trade balance among the United States, Mexico and Canada, calling it the largest trade balance in the world.
"We import, from the United States, more products and services than Italy, France, Germany and Britain, put together." Fox said.
