Three Dead After Johnson County Fire

GARDNER, Kan. (AP) _ Three people are dead after a house fire in unincorporated Johnson County.

The Kansas City Star reports that a motorist and a neighbor spotted the blaze early yesterday, and all three victims were found in what officials believe were two bedrooms.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office today identifies the victims as 74 year-old Richard Fielder; his 54-year-old son, Ricky Fielder, and 72-year-old Doris McGinnis.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The one-story house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and collapsed about half an hour later.
