WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Wichita police say a 2-year-old boy has died after being taken to the hospital and treated for blunt force trauma along with his twin brother.
The Wichita Eagle reports that the child's twin remains hospitalized. Police spokesman Gordon Bassham said no further details will be released until tomorrow.
The children were taken to the hospital Friday. Police said both were treated for blunt force trauma to the head and torso, and that it appeared one of them had been forcibly submerged in water.
The 28-year-old boyfriend of the children's mother was booked into the Sedgwick County jail on aggravated battery charges.
