The man accused in a fight that left another man dead overnight is being held on $150,000 bond.

Topeka Police were called just after midnight Friday morning to a stabbing at 513 SW Taylor. Officers found 45-year-old Jon A. Chiselom dead, slumped on the stairs leading to an upstairs apartment.

Several other people were on the stairs as well, including 42-year old Darwin David Law. Officers arrested him on a charge of second degree murder.

In an initial bond appearance Friday, the public defender's office was appointed to represent Law. He'll be back in court next month for a docket hearing.

Officers say Law and Chiselom knew each other and were arguing before the stabbing.
