Health Clinics that Help Under Served Get Help

A Capital Grant Program will help out ten primary care safety net clinics in Kansas.

The clinics will receive funds from the state to improve their facilities, technology and equipment.

$700,000 is being appropriated by the 2008 Kansas Legislature to help under-served Kansans get better care.

The say the had 20 application asking for over $1.4 million, but could only distribute the $700,000.

Included among those receiving money are Flint Hills Community Health Center in Emporia, and Konza Prairie Community Health Center in Junction City.
