The nation remembered those killed on September 11, 2001 Thursday, and Topeka was no different. A tent revival at the Kansas Expocentre fairgrounds reflected on the events of 9/11.

Those who were present said it shows a church isn't just four walls, a church is a body of believers. It was a mix of personal reflection, religious prayer and stirring patriotism.

Fire and Police were on hand for the tent revival. Bill Miller of Topeka Fire said he never lets that day go, and recognizes the potential for sacrifice is present with this career.

Mayor Bill Bunten led the tent in prayer, and Senator Sam Brownback and Police Chief Ron Miller also spoke.
