TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Farm Bureau and the Lynn Jenkins for Congress campaign Tuesday announced the endorsement of the Kansas Farm Bureau in Jenkins' bid for Congress.
The Kansas Farm Bureau represents grassroots agriculture and since 1919 has supported farm families who earn their living in a changing industry.
"Kansans know Lynn as a hard worker and I know she'll fight for agriculture when she's in Congress," Steve Baccus, an Ottawa County grain farmer who serves as Kansas Farm Bureau president said. "Growing up on a dairy farm, Lynn knows the challenges facing farmers. I couldn't think of a better Kansan to represent us in Washington."
"I am honored to have the support of the Kansas Farm Bureau," State Treasurer Lynn Jenkins said. "Kansas agriculture needs a strong voice in Congress and one that is committed to expanding markets and making sure family farms can stay intact from generation to generation."
