WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A Wichita woman is still irked at the theft of her purse.
Julie Bogner's purse disappeared from a pew during Mass in a Catholic church, where she had left it while waiting in line to take communion. It was swiped during on Sept. 2 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Bogner says in Tuesday's Wichita Eagle that ``there's a special place in hell for those kind of people'' who would steal a purse during a church service.
A few days later, her wallet was found -- minus cash and other valuables -- but not before unexpected charges started showing up on Bogner's accounts.
She had seen alerts in the church bulletin warning parishioners not to leave purses in cars during services because of a recent rash of burglaries. But she figured it would be safe to leave her purse in the pew during Mass.
