TOPEKA, Kan. - The City is now taking applications for the Fall session of “Topeka 101: A Citizens’ Academy.”
Topics include the Budget (“Show Me the Money),” Police and Fire (“Topeka 911”), Water Production (“Refreshingly Topeka”) and much more! Exciting activities and visits (including the Zoo and Gage Park) are planned. The first of eight weekly sessions is Wednesday, September 17 and the last is November 5. It will be held from 6-8:30 p.m.
Classes will be held each Fall and Spring. Go to www.topeka.org and click on “Citizens’ Academy” for an application. Applications can be mailed to: City Communications, 215 SE 7th Street, 2nd Floor, or faxed to 368-3966.
