Car Show Gears Up Supporters for a Good Cause

TOPEKA, Kan. - Classic car enthusiasts geared their love toward a good cause Friday.

Dillon's, 801 NW 25th, hosted the Pre-Labor Day Car Show and Shine. It's an annual MDA fundraiser for Jerry's Kids.

The car show is a great way for people help out the Muscular Dystrophy Association while checking out or showing off many different types of vehicles.

Jerry Denny, member of the Topeka Classic Chevy Club, said, "Everybody likes to look at old cars. They can come out here and see all types of makes and models. Everybody doesn't like the same type of cars. The biggest thing is they all know they're donating to a good cause - the MDA."

Join us on WIBW-TV Monday, Sept. 1 for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.

Ralph Hipp and Melissa Brunner will be live from Harley Davidson in Topeka from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., raising money for MDA.
