A son of former Kansas Senator Nancy Landon Kassebaum has died.
The family says Richard Landon Kassebaum died Wednesday in Knoxville, Tennessee of a brain tumor.
He was a filmmaker who worked on PBS documentaries. He was also a producer for front porch films. He was born in Wichita, received a bachelor degree from Kansas State University and attended graduate school at the University of Southern California.
He won a Student Academy Award in 1990 for his film about his grand-father Alfred Landon called, "Alf Landon: My Talk with Papa."
