The results of the Kansas primary are now official, and turnout was higher than expected.
The Kansas Board of Canvassers met at the Secretary of State's
office today to certify the August 5 results.
There were no changes to the results made by the board.
Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh said turnout was higher than the 319,000 he had predicted. Officially, 371,000 Kansans voted in the primary. That number is 22 percent of those registered.
