MAYETTA, Kan. - The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is suing Harrah's Entertainment, the company that managed the casino near Mayetta for nine years.

The lawsuit - filed in Shawnee County District Court - says when Harrahs stopped managing the casino in July of 2007, it promised not to take part in any other casino business in Kansas for a reasonable period of time.

The suit says Harrahs’ current involvement in a casino proposal in Sumner County violates the reasonable time non compete clause in its termination agreement.

A hearing is scheduled for August 29, 2008.
