A Topeka congregation took a major step forward Monday night in rising from the ashes.

Saint David's Episcopal Church broke ground on a new building. Their old church, near SW 17th and Gage, was destroyed by fire in November 2006.

About a hundred people turned out for the celebration. They say they're looking toward the future and are relieved to be taking this all-important step.

Investigators ruled the fire an arson, but, so far, no arrests have been made.
