WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Wichita police are looking for a man who
may be a burglar but at least he likes being clean.
A woman reported that she returned home after an errand Friday
night and found her basement laundry room in disarray with clothes
scattered and bleach poured on them.
She went upstairs to call her husband and said a man wearing
only blue boxer shorts came up from the basement, grabbed her purse
and ran out the door.
Police Sgt. Diane Varnell said the woman was able to chase the
man down and recover her purse.
The woman said she found the man's jeans and belt in her washing
machine. Varnell said it appears the man needed to wash his clothes
and broke into the house through a basement skylight because it
appeared no one was home.
