Chapman, KS (WIBW)--Despite rumors school will start in Chapman Monday in portable classrooms.
Many have said that the town wouldn't start school on time after a June tornado damaged or destroyed most of the school district's facilities. Superintendent Tony Frieze says the district has received a lot of help since the tornado and school will start on time.
Frieze says buses will be running their regular routes and a district-wide assembly is planned for Monday morning.
He says 48 new portable classrooms will take the place of the damaged and destroyed classrooms.
