Topeka, KS (WIBW)-- It was a chance to see one of Topeka's best kept secrets while participating in the National Night Out Against Crime.

Families headed out to the Old Prairie Town Park which surrounds the historic Ward Meade home.

The event featured a dunk tank, free food, live entertainment and a carnival.

Dogs from the K-9 obedience and training were present as well as magician Mark Calloway.

The Ward Meade neighborhood Night Out Against Crime helps promote neighborhood safety and awareness and makes sure families know where to get help if they need it.
