The suspect in a Topeka killing goes to trial in front of a jury in two months.
23-year-old James Qualls trial date was set at a motion hearing Thursday afternoon. It's set to begin October 27th.
Qualls is charged with the second degree intentional murder of Joseph Beier, Junior. Prosecutors say Qualls gunned down Beier outside the Whiplash Bar and Grill July 16th.
Another motion hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday.
