More new students than expected are starting school in the Manhattan-Ogden school district.
As of Thursday, enrollment numbers are up by 290 students in USD 383's nine elementary, two middle and one high school. That's 90 more than associate superintendent Bob Seymour says the district expected.
Seymour released the enrollment numbers to the Manhattan Mercury. The paper reports the enrollment count assumes preschool, the district's online school and the open door program had the same enrollment as last year.
