Many school districts return for the first day of school Wednesday, including Topeka's USD 501.
The halls at Topeka's McEachron Elementary were already buzzing Tuesday night. Principal Vic Williams handed out maps so kids and parents could get a sneak peak around the school. Some parents brought the supplies, too, in hopes of helping the morning flow more smoothly!
Kids met their teachers, and the teachers enjoyed meeting them, too.
"It's wonderful when you get to put a personality with the name on paper, brings the class and the school to life," said first-year McEachron kindergarten teacher Renee Roberts. "I'm very excited to meet all the new friends coming through the door."
