Kelly the collie was raised by breeders in Topeka not for money, not professionally, but for fun. Now, she is going to become the eighth Reveille in Texas A&M history.
The collie is the college's mascot, attending sporting events and other major functions. Russell Dyke and Julie Hinrichsen raised the dog, and are not accepting payment for her from A&M. Instead, the university is donating money to the Collie Health Foundation.
They say they are proud of her, and hope she represents the breed well.
