The second annual Tennessee Town Basketball Tournament got off to a soggy start this morning. However, that didn't keep the kids who signed up from playing.
The tournament was supposed to be held on King's Court at the Northwest corner of Lincoln and Munson. When the rain refused to stop the tournament was moved into the Abbott Community Center.
Registration was free for the 10 a.m. game. There were also activities for the little ones who were not playing as well as a free barbecue. The event is sponsored by Community First Inc. as well as Capitol Federal, St. Francis Health Center, Pepsi, McDonald's, Safe Streets, Westar Energy, Penwell-Gabel Funeral Homes, Core First Bank & Trust, Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel, Dillons, and more.
