An alarm in the Statehouse this morning evacuated the building.
About 10 Friday morning a smoke alarm from a caged elevator on the fifth floor went off.
Topeka Fire crews were quick to respond as Capitol Police escorted people out of the building.
An investigation found there was no actual fire. Officials say dust from renovation work triggered an alarm.
Everybody was allowed back in the building about 15 minutes later.
