Five Dead in Cherryvale Kansas

CHERRYVALE, Kan. (AP) _ Five people are dead following a head-on
collision in southeast Kansas.
The Highway Patrol says it happened shortly after 10 a.m. on
U.S. 169 near Cherryvale in Labette County.
The patrol says a southbound car hydroplaned on wet pavement and
crossed the center line, hitting a northbound car head-on.
The crash killed all three people in the southbound car. They're
identified as driver Joseph Blackburn, 75, and passenger Clara
Blackburn, 77 both of Parsons, and passenger Misty Bentsen, 31, of
Plattsburg, Mo.
Killed in the other car were 44-year-old driver Henry White and
48-year-old passenger Terri White, both of Cherryvale. A 5-year-old
Cherryvale boy also in the car was taken to a hospital in Tulsa,
Okla.
