A fallen tree limb is to blame for knocking out power to more than 1600 Central Topeka Westar customers Monday afternoon.

Westar Energy spokesman Nick Bundy says the branch took out a power line that effected an area between Southwest 17th and 21st streets, from about Central Park Avenue to Oakley.

Power was out from 2:30 to almost 3:40.
