TOPEKA, Kan. - A group of art enthusiasts Friday night gave a "Toast to the Arts."
Topeka Performing Arts Center, 214 SE 8th Ave., Topeka, hosted the 11th Annual Grape Escape wine and food festival on Friday, Aug. 1.
Guests had the choice between bidding in a silent or live auction. They were also able to sample the food and wine.
Grape Escape is an opportunity for the community to enjoy a social evening while helping support the Topeka Performing Arts Center.
"If there wasn't anything like us in town people would seek entertainment options outside of this community," said TPAC Executive Director Barbara Wiggins. "In order for this community to thrive and to prosper we have to keep those dollars here in Topeka."
Grape Escape is TPAC's biggest annual fundraiser.
