Kansas State University is getting a little outside help in the search for its next president.

The Kansas Board of Regents announced Thursday that Academic Search Inc will assist the KSU Presidential Search Committee.

Committee Chairperson Nelson Galle said he's confident the firm will help generate a deep and talented pool of highly-qualified candidates.

Current K-State President Jon Wefald will retire at the end of the 2008-2009 school year.
