TOPEKA, KS - Topeka Police Detectives are asking for your help identifying and locating the person that illegally used a card stolen in a purse snatching incident earlier this month.
At about 11:30 p.m. on July 17th, a female was at the Kwik Shop at 5633 SW 21st St. when someone jumped out of a parked car and grabbed her purse. She fought to get the purse back until the suspect threatened to kill her according to police.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's, wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. He is thought to be about 5'08" with a scruffy beard. He drove off in what is described as a dark maroon, newer Grand Am or Grand Prix.
The next day at approximately 9:45 a.m., an unknown male attempted to use a credit stolen with the purse at an ATM in a store in Manhattan. The suspect was caught on the store's surveillance video.
