Two outstanding Topekans are being honored by the Jayhawk Council of the Boy Scouts.
Washburn University President Jerry Farley and longtime educator Dale Cushinberry are the distinguished citizens of the year.
Dr. Farley just marked his 11th year at the helm of Washburn. Dale Cushinberry is named in the "Who's who of education and a distinguished kansan in education."
Thursday night's reception and dinner begins at 6:00 at the Ramada.
