CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - The world's next space tourist says he'll be spending the bulk of his fortune to rocket into orbit this fall. Richard Garriott, a computer game wizard, will fly aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft to the international space station.

He spoke about his October trip at a news conference in Houston Wednesday.

The cost of his space adventure is $30 million.

Says Garriott: "To be frank, this price tag is the majority of my wealth."

His father, Owen Garriott, was a NASA astronaut. Richard Garriott will be the first child of an American astronaut to fly into space.
