TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Gov. Kathleen Sebelius appoints Wes Griffin as a district court judge in Wyandotte County.
The 53-year-old Griffin is an administrative judge for the Kansas City, Kan., Municipal Court. Previously, he was an assistant city attorney and assistant district attorney. He received his law degree from Washburn University School of Law.
He will fill the remainder of retired Judge Philip Sieve's term, which runs until January 2011.
Griffin's wife, Joyce, is a certified public accountant and instructor at Kansas City Kansas Community College. They have three children.
