I-70 to US-75 Bridge Ramp Closure in Topeka Scheduled

TOPEKA, Kan. - Weather permitting, on Friday, August 1, the eastbound I-70 to northbound US-75 ramp in Topeka will close for a bridge repair project.

Crews will replace the existing strip seal expansion joints on the bridge ramp. The ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, and will reopen to all traffic at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4.

This project was originally scheduled to take place July 18-21, but had to be rescheduled due to weather conditions.

Advance message boards will alert drivers to the ramp closure. A marked detour will be provided.

Traffic will follow eastbound I-70 to the MacVicar Avenue exit, Exit #359, where they will then turnaround at the interchange, and proceed back west on I-70 to the northbound US-75 exit.

Drivers should expect minor delays and are advised to use alternate routes, if possible.
