In the summer, the Helen Hocker Theatre goes to the kids and one of their projects this season reintroduces us to some familiar characters.

"I'm not her sweet baboo!!" screams a teen while clutching a blue blanket and sucking his thumb. Yep, Linus, Snoopy and Sally join Charlie, Lucy and Peppermint Patty on stage for "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown".

"The music is fun," says director Jo Huseman. "We''re all kind of Charlie Brown or Lucy! We all have Lucy days."

"This show is great, it takes me back to my child hood." Charlie Stock becomes Charlie Brown in his eleventh year with the Helen Hocker Theatre. He's been coming here since he was six years old.

"I remember watching Charlie Brown Christmas, etc. So it was a lot of fun to be able to play the character everyone knows so well."

And this show keeps those characters telling the stories you love.
"A lot of mini stories, the little red-headed girl Charlie has a crush on, being a block head, Linus and his blanket, lots of little sub-plots weaving in and out and a happy ending," Stock says.
