Hundreds of people are celebrating new U.S. citizenship status in Topeka.
A group of about 700 took their oaths to become citizens of the United States Friday morning. They represented more than 80 countries.
A second naturalization ceremony took place at the Topeka Performing Arts Center later in the day.
Officials say the two large ceremonies represent the largest naturalization ceremony in the state's history.
