Two people were taken to the hospital after a burglary Tuesday night.
It happened at a residence in the 6100 block of southwest 25th St. in Topeka at about 11:30p.m.
Authorities report that they received a 911 call from the two people that lived in the home, saying that they had restrained the person that had broken in.
Police said that a black male came into the home, assaulted the victims, and tried to rob them.
The victims were finally able to restrain the man before calling police.
One of the victims as well as the suspect were taken to two different hospitals in Topeka.
Officials are not sure how the suspect entered the house.
