Man Charged With Manslaughter in Accident Says He Wasn't the Driver

The man charged with involuntary manslaughter and DUI in connection with an accident that killed his girlfriend is saying he wasn't the driver that night.

Justin Spencer waived his right to a speedy trial Monday and continued the case for a jury trial..

Osage County Attorney Brandon Jones says Spencer is trying to hire an accident reconstructionist to prove his girlfriend Jessica Alford was driving when the car they were in wrecked in Osage County five months ago.

Alford died at the scene.

Spencer's jury trial is set for August 19th.
