Manhattan may not have a new city pool as soon as expected.
Earlier this week city commissioners announced they would move forward with the multi-million dollar replacement of the City Park pool.
It was closed June 24th due to safety concerns.
The Manhattan Mercury reports that commissioners now discovered Manhattan must put this type of project out for bid and select the lowest among those submitted.
It may be until 2010 before the City Park pool is replaced.
