There are two new places you can take your recycling in Shawnee County.
Wednesday recycle bins were placed at Hyvee in Topeka at 29th and Wanamaker and out west at 53rd and Vorse.
Dultmeier Homes Inc is building a subdivision in that area and decided to sponsor the recycling bins.
Wednesday Dultmeier employees got a short training session on what can be recycled and how because it can be confusing.
"When we start thinking about, 'This (bin) is for paper.' Well, what's paper? What's the difference between paper and a magazine?" said Shawnee County Refuse and Recycling Director Steve Bolton. "A brown paper bag for instance goes in a cardboard bin. But a magazine does not go with paper."
Shawnee County now has a total of 20 recycling locations.
