New warrants were issued Thursday for a man police want to talk to in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend.
Topeka Police say 28-year old Mario King is wanted on a count of domestic battery and two counts of felony theft.
Shawnee County Court records show King's trial on those charges was to begin Monday, but he didn't show up. In addition, his attorney in the case, Don Hoffman, was allowed to withdraw on the grounds that King had not kept in contact with him.
Over the weekend, police put out a public call to locate King for questioning in the death of 20-year old Timothy Lister. Lister was found shot early Saturday morning in the 1300 block of Lane.
