An Army Reserve unit out of Manhattan has been called to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The Army Reserve will recognize about 20 soldiers and their families at a farewell ceremony on Saturday at the Army Reserve Training Center on Griffith Drive in Manhattan.
The 378th transportation company is trained and equipped to manage and conduct convoy movements within their area of responsibility.
The farewell ceremony Saturday will start at 11:45 a.m.
