The Sundown Salute began on July 2nd and ends July 6th. Thousands of people came out to the event. This year's theme was Happy 150th Birthday Junction City!

Families enjoyed activities all weekend including canine shows, carnivals, food, and more. The Salute also featured a Military Appreciation Day as well as a Kid's Day and Tribute Night. Several bands highlighted the event including Separate Ways which calls themselves the next best thing to Journey. Cowboy Crush and Draw the Line; an Aerosmith tribute band, also played.
