The Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office's search continues for a 13 year-old girl who fled from her mother's car while they were traveling to meet her father around seven o'clock Wednesday night, according to authorities.
Their car was around K9 and US 75 near Netawaka, headed from Valley Falls toward Hiawatha, when Cheyenne Renee Hare jumped out. The family believes she may be trying to make it back to Valley Falls or is hiding in a shed or barn in Netawaka area.
Cheyenne was described as around 5'6", 130 lbs., with shoulder-length, curly brown hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing a white T-shirt and brown shorts at the time of her disappearance.
Anyone with information about Cheyenne's whereabouts is asked to call Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office at 785-364-2251 or your local law enforcement agency.
