Robbery "Victim" Turns Out to be Burglary Suspect

TOPEKA, Kan. - A man who started as victim of a robbery turned into the suspect of a burglary.

Topeka Police responded to an alarm call at After Dark Video at 1:30 Tuesday morning. They found a window broken and discovered money was taken.

About 30 minutes later officers responded to a report of a robbery to a person near 21st and Topeka Boulevard. After investigating, police determined the robbery call was false and the person was actually a suspect in the After Dark burglary.

Police arrested 36-year-old Scott Reaka on charges of burglary, criminal damage, theft and making a false report.
