Capitol Building Wins "Wonder of Architecture"

Kansas' State Capitol building has made the list of the state's top eight wonders of architecture.

The statehouse was named by the Inman-based Kansas Sampler foundation Monday.

More than eight-thousand votes were cast to determine the top eight from a slate of 24 finalists. The other eight wonders are:

The Chase County Courthouse
Cooper Barn in Colby
Fromm-Birney Round Barn in Mullinville
Holy Cross Church in Pfeifer
Lebold Mansion in Abilene
Ness County Bank Building
The Seelye Mansion in Abilene
