Country Stampede is one of the most exciting summer events in Manhattan. This year was no exception. Thousands of people came out to Tuttle Creek to take part in the concerts.
Rodney Atkins offered an exclusive interview opportunity to 13 News. His tour manager brought our crew back to his coach. Atkins stepped out just moments later and spent a few moments talking with us.
Atkins says this was his second time in Manhattan. He says he enjoys playing in Kansas because he first toured with Martina McBride who is originally from Kansas.
Atkins says he and his band are headed back to Nashville and then off to Hawaii to play for troops over the 4th of July.
