The storms that shut down opening night of Country Stampede shut down the general admission parking areas Friday due to muddy conditions.
Stampede organizers implemented a shuttle bus system for all general admission ticketholders. VIP ticketholders may still access the Stampede site at Tuttle Creek State Park.
Buses will run every 15 minutes from the parking lot on the east side of the K-State campus near North Manhattan Avenue and Claflin Road. Drivers can access the lot by turning west at Kimball Avenue, then south on North Manhattan Avenue. The route will be marked.
Concertgoers will have to pay $10 per vehicle for the shuttle, just as they would to park on site. Shuttles will run thru 2 am Friday night/Saturday morning. A determination on whether to re-open on-site parking for the rest of the weekend will be made later Friday evening, after another round of expected rain moves through.
Weather-related updates will be given on 13 News radio partner, 94.5 Country.
