MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The chief judge for Clay and Riley counties is staying on in that role.

KMAN Radio reports Judge Meryl Wilson was reappointed Chief Judge for the 21st Judicial District. It's a two-year term.

Wilson has served as a judge in the 21st District since 1997.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Lawton Nuss says Wilson's knowledge will help in addressing challenges like underfunding of the courts.
